Details
1. Each submitted article will first be screened by the Managing Editor to ensure that the submission criteria is met (4 days). Managing editors will also serve as sole liaisons between the author and the editorial board to ensure a double-blinded review process.
2. Once approved, the article will be sent to an Section Editor, will select up to 3 reviewers to critically appraise the article and provide recommendations. Once all reviews are received, the Section Editor will correspond with the author to provide the editorial decision and reviewer feedback (2-3 weeks).
3. Upon satisfactory revision, the article will be passed on to the Editor-in-Chief for a final round of review, based on which a decision regarding acceptance will be made. 4. Once accepted, the article is relayed to the publication director, who coordinates the journal’s final stage of publication. Copy editors will proofread the article for language use, spelling and syntax. Lastly, layout editors will format the article and incorporate it into a future issue UOJM, or prepare it for online publication (typically for articles not suited for the theme of the upcoming issues).
