We are a peer-reviewed journal run and published by the students of the Faculty of Medicine.

We welcome submissions in a variety of areas, including: original research, review articles, news and commentaries, case reports and opinion pieces.

We accept submissions in both English and French, and represent the only bilingual institutional medical journal in Canada.
Medicine is both a practice and a science, and it is the latter that pushes forward frontiers in clinical therapy and patient care. Yet, scientific inquiry and writing is traditionally not part of the medical school curriculum.

To address this gap, UOJM aims to provide medical students with in-depth exposure to the process of research and to various dialogues in medicine. Through this initiative, we hope to empower and inspire future medical graduates to pursue leadership and excellence in both the practice and the science of medicine.
